Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative holding a placard with your name. After assistance with airport formalities, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Check in and take time to rest after your journey. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation or a gentle stroll around nearby areas.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Yatra Briefing

After breakfast, proceed on a guided sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Budhanilkantha, home to the magnificent reclining statue of Lord Vishnu. Later in the day, attend a detailed Kailash Yatra briefing, covering travel procedures, health guidelines, and preparation for the journey ahead.

Day 3: Chandragiri Hills Cable Car Experience

Enjoy a half-day excursion to Chandragiri Hills by private vehicle. Ride the cable car to the hilltop and take in panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan range. Visit the revered Bhaleshwar Temple and enjoy the serene natural surroundings before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Drive from Kathmandu to Ghatekhola via Syabrubesi

After breakfast, your yatra luggage will be loaded onto the tour vehicle, while extra baggage will be securely stored at the hotel. Begin the scenic drive toward Syabrubesi along a well-paved highway up to Trishuli. Beyond this point, the road becomes mountainous with winding stretches.

Day 5: Cross Nepal–Tibet Border & Drive to Kyirong

After breakfast, proceed to Nepal immigration for exit formalities. Walk across the Nepal–Tibet Friendship Bridge, where you will meet your Tibetan guide. Complete biometric and immigration procedures before entering Tibet. Continue the drive to Kyirong Valley, known for its beautiful landscapes and relatively lower altitude.

Day 6: Drive to Saga

Travel through scenic Tibetan terrain along a smooth, blacktopped road, crossing Thong La and La Lung mountain passes. En route, enjoy views of Lake Peikutso and observe traditional Tibetan life, with yaks and sheep grazing across open plateaus.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Saga

This day is reserved for acclimatization to help your body adapt to the increasing altitude. Rest, hydrate well, and take short, easy walks if comfortable. Avoid strenuous activity.

Day 8: Drive to Lake Mansarovar

After breakfast, drive toward the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Upon arrival, perform Lake Parikrama by government bus and visit the mystical Rakshas Tal (Lake Rakshak). Spend time absorbing the spiritual atmosphere of Mansarovar.

Day 9: Mansarovar Rituals & Drive to Darchen

In the morning, warm water will be provided for bathing. After breakfast, participate in Homa Pooja and Pitri Visarjan at the holy lake. After lunch, drive to Darchen, the base town for Mount Kailash Parikrama.

Day 10: Drive to Yamadwar & Trek to Derapuk

After breakfast, proceed to Yamadwar, the gateway to Mount Kailash Parikrama. Final arrangements for horses and helpers will be confirmed. Begin the trek toward Derapuk, enjoying sacred views of the West Face and close-up darshan of the majestic North Face of Mount Kailash.

Day 11: Trek from Derapuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

Today is the most challenging and spiritually significant day of the yatra. Begin early to cross the sacred Dolma La Pass (5,630 m). After the pass, visit Gauri Kunda, where holy water may be collected upon request. (Pilgrims unable to cross the pass will be assisted back to Darchen.)

Day 12: Complete Kailash Parikrama & Drive to Saga

After breakfast, complete the final stretch of the Parikrama, trekking approximately 10 km to Chongdo, where the vehicle awaits.

Day 13: Drive to Kyirong, Cross Border & Return to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive toward Kyirong, complete exit formalities at the Tibet–Nepal border, and re-enter Nepal. Stop for lunch at Ghatekhola, then continue the drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of a spiritually fulfilling Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
